No day without a line.
That’s what “nulla dies sine linea” means.
Too much ambition. Not enough pragmatism.
I’m sure you’re like me, and when you set your tasks for the day, you set ones that feel small in theory. Something like “finishing website” or “revamping my LinkedIn.”
In reality, it makes life difficult for ourselves and sets too high an expectation. Your day is going to slip away, you’re going to be distracted, and some stupid urgent thing is going to happen.
A distorted view of progress
Then you think, “finishing that website,” is the only thing that will give you a sense of progress. The only thing that will move the needle today and get you closer to your dreams.
But in the end, it’s exhausting because we usually do that for a ton of stuff in our day.
It accumulates, and BOOM.
It explodes.
We’re overwhelmed. Feeling stuck and feeling stationary. Like nothing is moving forward.
Atomize the todo
Instead of setting our mind on “finishing up this website.”
Focusing on the website's title would do. If you do that, you’ll win. If you do more, you’ll win even bigger.
Same for that annoying LinkedIn revamp, just add the last job title you had and the date. If you add a few bullets point, amazing. Massive win.
Do that every day, and you’ll probably feel better about your progress and move faster this way.
Nulla dies sine linea
A line every day is better than no drawing.
What about you? What’s that one thing that feels too big and could be smaller so you finally act on it?

Reflecting on My Failure to Build a Billion-Dollar Company
A great story where Sahil realized he didn’t have to grow his business at all costs. But most importantly, there are sacrifices to be done to exponential growth. Even if his business was profitable, he had a lot of pressure to hire and find ways to grow even though his business was slowly but surely going in the right direction.
Google just updated its algorithm. The Internet will never be the same.
Fantastic article. I love how it highlights the danger of putting all your eggs in one basket you don’t own. The actual owner can snatch all your eggs and leave you hanging. An internet friend was banned from Upwork recently as well. You’ll hear so many stories like this one. It’s very common. Without a plan B to action immediately or other sources of income/traffic, we’re eventually shooting ourselves in the foot.
Common things from people achieving 10k per month
Really interesting observations from someone hanging out with people who reached 10k per month, what’s their general background and how they made it work.
As James Clear taught me in his book: if you want a habit to stick, make it easy.
Want to be a writer? Write one sentence a day.
You might get to many sentences, but one sentence is the minimum.
Keeps me writing for months now.
Great story, Kenny, and love this line:
"A line every day is better than no drawing."
I found this approach super effective. It's what made me finish my course after years of trying. Then immediately after, I wrote and published my first book and am already working on the second one. Step by step. 💪
